What the game stores
To remember how far your lava has travelled, Brimlet saves a small record on your device: which chambers you have cleared and how well, the flints and specimens you have collected, the tempers and glazes you own, your strata and lifetime counters, the field notes you have already read, and your vent settings (music, effects, haptics and tilt steering). None of it identifies you, and none of it leaves the device.
Motion sensor
If you open the Tilt steering vent in the game's settings, Brimlet reads the phone's motion sensor while a chamber, the dish or a free-pour cavern is on screen, so that tipping the phone turns the gravity inside the cave. The reading is used the instant it arrives to move the lava, and then it's gone: it isn't saved, logged or sent. With the vent shut, which is how the game starts, the sensor isn't read at all.
What the game never does
- It doesn't ask for your name, email, location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
- It doesn't create accounts or sign you in to anything.
- It shows no advertising and contains no tracking or analytics tools.
- It makes no network requests while you play, and it sells or shares nothing, because it collects nothing.
- It has no purchases of any kind.
Keeping and deleting your record
Your record stays on the device until you remove it. Pulling the Flood the tubes lever in the Vents screen wipes your progress and keeps only your settings. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
Children
Brimlet is a calm puzzle game for all ages. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
If this policy changes
If the game ever changes how it handles information, this page will be updated first and the effective date above will change with it.
